Please take care of providing your summer address info today (Thursday). That way, your information can be put into the computer system by finals week.

Place: Table by the ASC offices in the Bruin Den
Time: 10:30 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Why: Your mailbox will be closed the last day of finals.

You have two options for your mail over the summer:

  • Request to keep your mailbox open all or part of the summer
  • Give us an address where we can forward you mail over the summer (we will close your mailbox and re-open the same mailbox for you 3 weeks before school starts in the fall).

It will only take a minute. Time us!

Film ‘Of Gods and Men’ shows in Hoover 105 Sunday

Join us this Sunday, April 10, as Paul Anderson shows the film Of Gods and Men, followed by a discussion of the spiritual themes involved throughout the film. The discussion will be led by Paul and three students from his Biblical Basis for Peacemaking class.

Make plans to attend Fox Film Festival next week

Regular movies getting you down? Do you want to see some amazing short films created by some of our very own student filmmakers? Of course you do!

The Fox Film Festival will be playing in the Cameo Theatre on Friday, April 15, with showings beginning at 4:30 p.m. Tickets for the Cameo are on sale for the low price of $4 per ticket or $6 for two tickets. You can purchase them from Kathy Harris in Minthorn 205.

If Friday is too busy for you, don’t worry! There is also a film showing on Saturday, April 16, in Bauman Auditorium, and admission is free! The show will begin at 6 p.m.

Mental health experts speak on campus tonight

In case you weren’t aware, Mental Health Awareness Week is this week! Thanks for the support for all of you who have come to our events so far.

Today (Thursday) we’re hosting our final event 7 p.m. in Hoover 103. Speakers from NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Health) will discuss their personal experiences with mental health, and we’ll have time to ask questions and discuss.

Tickets available for ‘The Balkan Women’ production

Come support our theatre students at the spring drama, The Balkan Women, directed by senior student Cambria Herrera.

Performances are in Wood-Mar Auditorium on Friday and Saturday, April 8-9, and Thursday through Sunday, April 14-17. All performances begin at 7:30 p.m. with the exception of the Sunday matinee (April 17), scheduled at 2 p.m.

Tickets are free for students for both the Friday, April 8, and the Thursday, April 14, shows. Employees are entitled to one complimentary ticket. Please bring your student or employee ID to the door when you attend the show. Additional tickets are $12 for adults, $8 for seniors 65 or older, and $6 for George Fox students and children under 12.

Tickets may be picked up/purchased at the Bruin Store or one hour prior to each show in Wood-Mar Auditorium. They are also available online at theatre.georgefox.edu. A synopsis of the show is also online.

Drop off items, check for lost ones before end of semester

Is that pile of left-behind items mounting in the corner of your department or office? Are you just now discovering that you are missing a valued item? If either situation pertains to you, please swing by the lost and found in the security office.

Bring any “found” items as soon as possible so that everybody will have a chance to find their “lost” items before this semester ends. If you have lost something, please check the lost and found before leaving school on April 29, as all items not reclaimed by their owners will be donated to charitable causes the first week of May.
