Jeff Cameron, assistant professor of art & design, is showing his panoramic photographs in the campus’ Lindgren Gallery now through Nov. 30. The exhibit is open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The images capture scenes of Italy from Rome to Bolzano and Florence to Milan, taken last May while he was traveling on Juniors Abroad.

Have you ever thought about living and working overseas? Are you passionate about helping to improve communities around the world? Come join Lisa Snell, a Peace Corps recruiter who served in the Peace Corps in Morocco for two years, as she hosts an info session on Wednesday, Nov. 16, from noon to 12:50 p.m. in Canyon Commons (Room 101).

Serving in the Peace Corps is a great way to immerse yourself in a new culture, learn a new language, and have the experience of a lifetime. Join us at this information session to learn about volunteer experiences, ask questions about service, and gain tips to guide you through the application process. Lisa will also have a table in the Canyon Commons lobby to chat with students throughout the morning if you are unable to make the lunchtime session!

R.S.V.P. today for Kenyan dinner to support nursing’s trip to Africa

The George Fox University School of Nursing is sending a group of students to Kenya! Come eat some authentic Kenyan food (catered by the lovely Grace Kuto) and learn about the trip! The dinner will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 19, at North Valley Friends Church (4020 N. College St.).

Grace is a member of Tigard Community Friends Church and the president/co-founder of the Harambee Centre in Chwele. She is a  native of Kenya whose village is near the clinics where we will serve. She will share some thoughts about the status of health care in rural Kenya.

The students will also share about what they will be doing in Kenya and what they are excited for. Each student is trying to earn $3,350 to pay for transportation and medical supplies.
