Some guidelines to follow with the arrival of fall weather

Thursday, September 28th, 2017

Fall is here! In Oregon, that means we may experience drastically different weather over the course of a week.

Please help conserve energy and maintain comfortable living spaces by following these guidelines. More hall-specific details will be emailed soon:

If your room is too hot:

  • Make certain your heater is OFF and/or heater vents are closed
  • Close windows and shades or blinds during the heat of the day and direct sun
  • Open windows and shades in the evening to cool down

If your room is too cold:

  • Close all windows
  • Open heater vents or turn thermostat to desired temperature

Turning the thermostat to a higher temperature DOES NOT heat the room faster. Please set the thermostat to a comfortable temperature and let the system balance itself.

If you have any further questions, please email housing@georgefox.edu.
