Pre-PT club hosts into meeting tonight after chapel

Are you an exercise science major? Are you interested in physical therapy? If so, come to the Pre-PT club meeting tonight (Wednesday). We will be having an admissions counselor from Pacific University’s DPT program give a presentation about the program and answer any questions students may have.

So, come join us on Wednesday in EHS 125 right after chapel, at 8 p.m.

This First Friday, Dec. 1, adjunct professors Jennifer Loop and Breanne Sherwood will be teaming up to sell their work in downtown Newberg. The pieces include ceramic work by Jennifer and hand-printed work (cards, bags, fabric) by Breanne.

Find us in Jennifer’s pink trailer pop-up shop in its usual First Friday location, between Pulp & Circumstance and the Blue Trout Gallery. Our special Christmas hours will be from 3:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Volunteers needed for Kid’s Day Out

We are looking for 10 enthusiastic volunteers to help out with Kid’s Day Out. This is an event put on by Faith In Action and Providence Medical Center for kids with disabilities to come have fun for an afternoon while their families have some rest.

Library’s 24/7 space opens at midnight

Sculptor of ‘Treasure,’ Ellen Tykeson, speaks at Art Talk tonight

Come hear sculptor Ellen Tykeson speak about her craft at Art Talk tonight (Monday) from 6 to 7 p.m. at the Chehalem Cultural Center (415 E. Sheridan St.).

Tykeson is a sculptor of many different elements. Among her pieces is “Treasure” on the George Fox campus, located between the Pennington Residence Hall and the Stevens Center. She will be talking about her craft and give insight on what the life of a professional sculptor is like. There will be a Q&A after she speaks. Food and drink will be provided.

Attend RA information meeting Nov. 29

Interested in being an RA for the 2018-19 school year? Come to the RA info meeting in Hoover 105 on Wednesday, Nov. 29, from 9 to 10 p.m.

Residence Life is looking for students that exhibit Christian maturity, humility and leadership skills for our 2018-19 leadership teams. Presently, 66 students serve as Resident Assistants and Assistant Area Coordinators. We are looking for students who (a) seek to be stretched and transformed in their leadership roles, (b) value the diversity of our faith community, and (c) desire to invest deeply in the growth of the community.

On-campus and commuting students are welcome to come and learn about this leadership opportunity. Attendance is not required in order to become an RA, but we encourage those who are interested to come and find out more about the role.
