Interested in working for the athletics department? Love to be involved with on-campus sporting events? Then you’re in luck, because the university’s game management department is hiring for the 2018-19 school year!
Duties include selling concessions (at volleyball, soccer, basketball and lacrosse games) setting up/gate-keeping at football games, ball shagging at soccer matches, ball rolling at volleyball matches, filming various events and much more!

The importance of being ethical in the business world will be discussed at a special George Fox-hosted lecture presented by Jeff Grubb, a former vice president at Wells Fargo, tomorrow (Thursday). Grubb’s free presentation, “A Christian in the Business World: Ethical Decisions in Challenging Times,†begins at 7 p.m. in Hoover 105.
Grubb has been a trustee at the M.J. Murdock Charitable Trust since 2010. He retired from corporate life in 2017 after 35 years in financial services working for Progressive Insurance, U.S. Bank, U.S. Trust and Wells Fargo. He has also served on the advisory board of several private companies.
The lecture is being presented by George Fox’s Office of the President and College of Business. It is the latest installment of the university’s Reiten Lecture Executive in Residence Series.

Now that the debate team is back from prison, it’s time to go to court! The George Fox University speech and debate team will be presenting a mock trial on Monday, March 19, at 6 p.m. in Hoover 105.
This event is open to the public, and refreshments will be provided. At the close of the proceedings, the audience will have the opportunity to vote as members of the jury. After the decision, team members will be available to answer your questions about participation – or our multiple trips to prison.

The university community is invited to a free Jazz Dialogues Concert at 7:30 p.m. tomorrow (Thursday) in Bauman Auditorium.
This is our third annual unique, interdisciplinary presentation. This year’s lecture/recital is entitled “Jazz Dialogues: Storytime and All That Jazz.†It features a lecture and children’s book readings by Beth LaForce, professor of education, assisted by elementary education students, and performances by the university’s Jazz Ensemble, which will play the music of Duke Ellington, Thelonius Monk and more.

Register for the new Spanish class offered for next spring: Spanish for the Professions. This class is offered to those majoring and minoring in business, accounting, law, law enforcement, politics, Christian ministries, education, etc. It will meet Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 1 to 1:50 p.m.
All students will use a common basic text and then break out into their area groups for more specific practice. Incoming students should have completed SPAN202 or the equivalent. Professor David MartÃnez will be teaching this course.

Mu Kappa, a club for missionary kids, people who have lived overseas, or people who are interested in overseas living/travel, is hosting another missions panel discussion tonight (Wednesday) from 8 to 9 p.m. in Hoover 250.
