Tonight (Saturday) is our first-ever Disney-themed swing dance. Dress up as a character from Disney, Marvel, Star Wars, and more. We will swing dance to Disney music and enjoy Disney-themed snacks.
We will have intermediate lessons at 7 p.m., and the dance will officially start at 7:30 p.m. See you tonight in the FoxHole!

NSLS members: Please note that the deadline for completing the four steps prior to induction is Friday, April 5, at midnight.
You will need to complete orientation, leadership training day, three speaker broadcasts, and three success networking team meetings before being inducted. If you are curious about what you still need, check your member portal or contact NSLS@georgefox.edu.
Induction will be Monday, April 22, from 6 to 8 p.m. We look forward to inducting as many members as possible!
The NSLS is the nation’s largest leadership honor society. Students are selected by their college for membership based on either academic standing or leadership potential. Candidacy is a nationally recognized achievement of honorable distinction. Click here for more information.

Do you want to be involved on campus next year? It’s not too late! Student Activities is hiring.
Apply to be a part of the team, join the hype, and make fun your job. We’re looking for a diverse group of event planners (no experience necessary), graphic designers, videographers, photographers and “fun generators.” Some positions are paid by the hour, others are paid by stipend.
Applications can be found here and will be due Wednesday, March 20, at 5 p.m. Student Activities aims to create memorable experiences and places for people to belong. Everyone is encouraged to apply.

There is a new museum exhibit in Stevens Center that focuses on our international students over the years. “Global Ties” explores international students and sister schools from the 1950s to today and highlights some of the items in the George Fox University museum collection.
In addition, there is a new online exhibit: “Our History through Our Clothing (1900-1949)” explores some of those associated with Pacific College (the previous name of George Fox) and allows us to display many pieces of historic clothing in our collection. You can find it here.

The School of Physical Therapy is excited to host Dr. Jason Wilken to lecture on the topic “Stairs as a Model for Understanding Prosthetic Device Development†on Tuesday, March 19, in Canyon Commons 101 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
This presentation will expand the clinician’s understanding and appreciation of the biomechanics, technology and patient factors that drive state-of-the-art prosthesis and development. Please join us for a high-level and engaging talk with Dr. Wilken. Light refreshments will be served.
Wilken is an associate professor and director of collaborative research and development in the Department of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Sciences at the University of Iowa.

If you have your own mug, feel free to bring it and we will be happy to caffeinate you for the day. Swing by and learn more about our big end-of-the-year event happening on April 5. There will be food, music and some other exciting information to come.
You will also be able to sign up for a free senior T-shirt at our table. Keep an eye out because there will be some seniors already rocking the T-shirt around campus to give you a little preview.

On Wednesday, March 20, from 5 to 6:30 p.m. in Canyon Commons 101 the American Enterprise Institute and a panel of professors will be discussing President Trump’s time in office, as he has recently passed the midpoint of his presidential term.
Panelists Nate Peach, Gina Miller and Ron Mock will analyze the presidency so far from the perspective of economic, international and domestic policy. Dinner will be provided. RSVP here.

Come hear nursing faculty members share their life experiences and how faith has informed their practices as nurses this Monday, March 18, from 7 to 8:15 p.m. in Hoover 102. This is meant to be a Q&A session where you can ask them any question you want. Everyone is welcome to come!Â
Potential questions and discussion topics include:
- How do you prioritize family and friends when in a demanding job? What if you are working nights?
- How do you avoid bringing work home with you? How can you build a long-lasting marriage when your job is to care for other people all the time?
- What does parenting look like when you are a nurse and you know what can go wrong?
- How do you cope with anxiety and emotional strain?
The faculty panelists will be Andrea Alexander, Marcia Bogert, Stephanie (Fisher) Matthew and Elizabeth Roark. Light snacks will be provided, and chapel credit is available.
