Join the Catholic Campus Fellowship this Friday, Nov. 22, for a talk titled “From Fox to the Priesthood” at 5 p.m. in Hoover 210.
Speaking will be Stephen Kenyon, a 2013 George Fox alumnus, who will share about his journey to Catholicism and to the priesthood. A Q&A time will follow the presentation, and all who are interested in attending Catholic worship are invited to stay afterward for Mass.
Snacks will be provided and chapel credit is available.

Purchase a new stuffed animal to donate to Team Emery and bring joy to a sick child! Drop your donation in the Team Emery donation box in the Hoover lobby by the College of Business between now and Friday, Dec 6.
Team Emery is a nonprofit organization that provides hope and encouragement to sick children through the gift of a teddy bear or stuffed animal. Last year, Team Emery donated 371 teddy bears to Doernbecher Children’s Hospital, Randall Children’s Hospital, two Ronald McDonald House locations, and the Newberg fire and police departments.

The finance office will be closed from Thursday, Nov. 28, to Monday, Dec. 2, for Thanksgiving.
Deposits that need to be deposited in the month of November must be dropped off at the finance office no later than 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 27. If it arrives later, it will go into a deposit for December.
If you are taking extra time off during the Thanksgiving holiday, please send your deposits over before you leave. If you have any questions about deposits, contact Heather Groenlund at ext. 2173.

George Fox is once again partnering with Hillsboro Airporter to provide a shuttle service to Portland International Airport for Thanksgiving break.
Students will be expected to work directly with Hillsboro Airporter to reserve their spot. See the details below:
- The cost for one passenger is $65 plus a tip. Each additional passenger is $3.
- Each shuttle can fit five to six passengers. The cost per student is based on the total number of passengers during the scheduled times, so if you can fill one shuttle with six passengers, the cost per student could be as low as $15.
- Make your reservations more than 24 hours in advance and Hillsboro Airporter can group you together. To reserve your spot, click here.
- Hillsboro Airporter accepts cash or credit card for payment. Parents can call Hillsboro Airporter with a credit card to pay for their student’s fare.
- Hillsboro Airporter has 24/7 service. It will work with students and their families to put students together to lower the cost of the fare.

Got stress, aches and pains, or do you just want to feel relaxed? We want to help! Come get a massage performed by a doctor of physical therapy student and receive free stress management advice.
Our mission is to improve our community’s health by offering discounted massages to students ($15) and employees ($20). We are offering 30-minute massages on Wednesday, Nov. 20, from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. in Roberts Center 204.
All proceeds will help fund our medical service trip to Uganda and Ghana. Donations are also welcome! Preregister here.

The George Fox community is invited to the first MakeXplorations maker talk this Wednesday, Nov. 20, from 6 to 7 p.m. in the Engineering Maker Hub for a night of guitars, science and art.
Speaking will be Portland Guitar’s Jay Dickinson, who holds a master’s degree in mechanical engineering, has more than 25 years’ experience in corporate physics and engineering positions, and has spent a lifetime of woodworking and artistic craftsmanship to make guitars. Multiple examples of his work will be available to check out after the presentation.Â
MakeXplorations is presented by the College of Engineering for the purpose of stimulating the curiosity and creativity of our growing maker community and bringing honor to the ultimate Maker, our Creator God. Makers will present on topics which explore the craft and purpose of their creations, as well as their motivation for making. Â

Students, staff and faculty who are not currently performing weight training exercises are wanted for a study. Subjects are needed for a blood flow restriction exercise study.
Participants will be allocated to either a BFR and exercise group or to an exercise alone group. Participants will be asked to exercise two times a week for about 20 minutes each for eight weeks. Those who complete the study will get $20 and a pizza party.

Join the Students for Life Club for a panel discussion on the Christian philosophy of the body and its implications for pro-life issues on Thursday, Nov. 21, from 7 to 8 p.m. in Hoover 105.
Two George Fox professors, Abigail Favale and Marcia Bogert, and Sean Flannery, pastor at Church of the Vine, will be the panelists. The discussion will focus on questions like, “Should we as Christians consider the body as inherently valuable? If so, what does this mean for the morality of abortion?”
