Look for yellow-lidded bins when recycling

Tuesday, December 10th, 2019

In order to eliminate confusion, Waste Management is changing the lids of recycling bins to a bright yellow to further distinguish recycling bins from trash bins. Please take your comingled recycling to a bin with a yellow lid and avoid dumping trash in the yellow-lidded bins.

In addition, if you have not already received an indoor recycling bin, our team is distributing the indoor blue recycling containers for office and dorm room use. Please use those bins for your comingled recycling and not for trash. It is very important to keep garbage out of the recycling bins.

Return or sell your books to the Bruin Store

Monday, December 9th, 2019

Don’t forget that the Bruin Store buys back books year-round! Bring your student ID and the textbooks you no longer need, and if we can buy them, you will leave with cash in hand.

If you rented books for fall semester through the Bruin Store, the last day to check those books back in is Friday, Dec. 13. Please bring them to the Bruin Store (along with your student ID) during business hours to avoid any late, processing, or non-return fees.
