The undergraduate admissions office at George Fox is seeking qualified candidates to work part time (nine hours per week) as interns in the areas of admissions counseling, visit coordinating, and student engagement during the 2021-22 academic year (August through April).
Interns will be working closely with our admissions team in the promotion of George Fox to prospective students and families. Tasks will be varied but will include:
- Conducting campus tours
- Communication with prospective students
- Assisting the visits and student engagement team in campus visitations and events
- Data entry and analysis, and other important work

The Doctor of Physical Therapy Program is seeking participants for a study that aims to assess how a person’s level of activity relates to characteristics of their foot, such as shape and muscle strength.
Participants will be asked to attend one test session lasting around 45 minutes in which their foot characteristics will be measured. Participants will then wear a step counter for the next several days and return for their last session to have the step counter data collected.

Cherice Bock, an adjunct faculty member in the creation care program at Portland Seminary, will host a Zoom session, “Spirituality and Environmental Justice: Being an Ally in the Community of Creation,” on Wednesday, March 31, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. All are welcome to attend.
Bock serves as the creation justice advocate at Ecumenical Ministries of Oregon. As a recorded Quaker minister and alumna of George Fox, her concern for creation grows out of her Christian faith and her commitment to the calling to love God and love her neighbor as herself.

What is a Code Jam? George Fox’s first Code Jam is a weekend-long, fully virtual event where CSIS students will work collaboratively on a team to build a tech-related project in 30 hours. It begins Friday, March 19, and ends Sunday, March 21.
Participants will sign up individually and can form teams of two to four George Fox students. Every team will also be paired with a George Fox alumnus to serve as their mentor and advisor throughout the weekend.
If you and a few friends want to be on the same team, that’s great! You’ll be able to note who you want to team up on the registration form below. If you’re signing up individually, the Code Jam staff will place you on an awesome team!
This Code Jam is designed for students to turn technology ideas into real-life, practical projects while working in a welcoming and supportive atmosphere. This is the place to showcase your creativity and innovation, as well as create something super cool outside of the classroom!

Looking for virtual tutoring and academic support options? Check out the Open Study Table tutors! We offer 20- and 30-minute appointments for your specific questions, as well as one-hour open study group sessions!
The virtual group study sessions are held from 8 to 9 p.m., Monday through Thursday. No sign-up is necessary; simply drop in with your homework and any questions you have! Each night focuses on a different topic, but feel free to join even if the specific class you are working on is not listed.
- Monday: Josh will be available to help with chemistry, physics, theology, and communications.
- Tuesday: Emily will be available to help with engineering prerequisites, calculus, and theology.
- Wednesday: ARC Consultant Jaime will be available to help with writing.
- Thursday: Olivia will be available to help with nursing classes, anatomy & physiology, Spanish, and general education classes.
