Interested in being a Peer Advisor this fall?

Are you interested in being a Peer Advisor next semester? If you’ve been thinking about applying, now is the time to make it happen! Take a look at the job description, then complete an application.

Applications are due by 5 p.m. on Monday, April 19; references (as listed in the application) are due Wednesday, April 21, so get those requests out now!

Peer Advisors play an integral role in assisting new students’ transition to George Fox. They assist with Welcome Weekend and a new co-curricular “Bruin Adventure” program designed to engage the heart, mind and soul of each new student as they learn in community with their neighbors.

The Peer Advisor hiring process is running late this year due to changes in the curriculum, including the end of LIBA 100.

The George Fox Pre-Dental Club will be hosting an informational webinar Friday, April 23, from 7 to 7:45 p.m. via Zoom (passcode: zZ36gz). This is intended for students interested in learning more about applying to dental school.

This webinar will include information about how to apply to dental school. We will cover prerequisite classes, required shadowing hours, taking the DAT, and more! We will also be answering any questions you may have about the application process or the field of dentistry in general.

Each crew has a limited number of positions available, so apply now if you would like full 40-hour weeks of employment during the entire summer on our beautiful Newberg campus.

Campus Recreation is hosting a Self-Defense Workshop this Sunday, April 18, from 6 to 9 p.m. This workshop is a stand-alone training that walks through self-defense techniques and scenarios.

It is held as a one-time seminar, whereas our normal class is ongoing. This is a great opportunity for anyone looking to learn more about self-defense; it does not require any previous experience.
