Starting this Fall ~ New “Shared Praxis” cohort is forming

Shared Praxis consists of 4 sequential semester courses (4 credits each) designed to:

  1. lead students through an exploration of their personal journey and call to ministry in the context of community;

  2. assist students in building a theological framework for ministry;

  3.  explore and develop specific skills for ministry;

  4. apply all the above in practical ministry through an internship
     
    If you are interested in developing ministry leadership skills (both theologically and practically) within the context of a caring learning community of persons committed to sharing personal faith and ministry journeys and growing together spiritually, please stop by the Religious Studies Dept. A Benefit for the Tilikum Scholarship Fund

Tilikum Center for Retreats is pleased to announce our fifth annual run and walk event to raise funds to get needy children to summer camp. The race will take place at Champoeg State Park at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 14th and will begin at the River Side Day Use Area. Participants must raise donations per kilometer they run or walk. A minimum donation of $35 is required to enter the event. Awards will be given to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place finishers in each race. Creative Writing Contest

Skene Award for  Fiction and Literary Nonfiction :Contestants should submit two short pieces (under 1000 words) or one longer piece (1000 to 3000 words).  Writing will be judged on originality, quality of expression, and significance of the work’s contribution to the spirit of reconciliation.
Atkinson Award for Poetry :Contestants should submit up to three poems, none of which may exceed 36 lines. Writing will be judged solely on artistic merit.
