Attention Undergraduate Students ~ New and Improved – (Fox) E-nnouncements

Monday, August 27th, 2007

You may have noticed that Fox E-nnouncements has changed. First of all, it is now called E-nnouncements. You will also notice that no longer is there just student news.

The premise of E-nnouncements has worked so well that the university has decided to use this format as the primary way to communicate to staff and faculty as well.

To subscribe, click on this link and follow the directions. You will receive only ONE e-mail a day and only if there is a new posting. You can also RSS feed E-nnouncements into your news reader.

To submit an E-nnouncement, click on this link and follow directions.

Please contact Jere Witherspoon if you have any questions.

Attention Newberg Campus: Safety Notice

Wednesday, August 8th, 2007

To the George Fox Community,

Approximately one month ago, there were several thefts of university-owned property on the east side of campus. Then last night, there was a burglary of student-owned property, again on the east side of campus. We encourage all employees and students to help keep GFU a safe environment by doing the following:

1.Be sure to secure all personal belongings at all times.

2.Keep your car doors locked with no personal belongings in plain sight.

3.Keep exterior residence doors locked at all times, including when you’re present.

4.If you unlock a door to gain entry to any building, make sure the door closes behind you and is locked to prevent others from unauthorized entry.

5.Report any suspicious person(s) to Security Services immediately at ext. 2090.

We are investigating these incidents and taking steps to attempt to prevent further losses. Thanks you for your assistance.

Blessings,
Ed Gierok
