Justice Conference Conversation

Thursday, March 1st, 2012

There will be a gathering this upcoming Monday night, March 5 from 7:30-9 p.m. in Lemmons 8, where those who attended the Justice Conference can get together and reflect on and delve deeper into the conversation about justice and our involvement in particular areas of (in)justice individually and as a Fox community. It is an attempt to take some sexy ideas of some big names and help us begin to think about their mundane, radical implications. It will also be a chance for Fox students to get to know one another and encourage and guide each other towards “doing justice.”

Quaere Verum, a student club that meets weekly to facilitate student dialogue on social issues, will host the event, and we are inviting everyone who participated in the conference to attend this meeting. We hope that this conversation will lead those who have been inspired and invigorated (or are cynical and overly critical) to integrate their thoughts and concerns relating to the Justice Conference with their daily interactions in those relationships closest to them. We want to move from “shallow justice” that can simply be consumed and digested over a weekend, to “deep justice” that requires a lifetime of faith, hope, and love.
