Thursday, June 17th, 2010

I can’t thank everyone enough for all of the cards, flowers, support and prayers during the past several weeks since my son’s death. I can feel all of you holding me up during this difficult time.

A celebration of life service will be held at 6 p.m. Sunday, June 27, at the Northside Community Church, located at the corner of Crestview Drive and Hoskins Street. Contributions can be made to a memorial fund at Attrell’s Funeral Home to help defray costs. Be considerate of Genesis guests when parking Thursday and Friday

Wednesday, June 16th, 2010

We are expecting a large number of new students and their families for Genesis Thursday through Saturday, June 17-19. Would you please help welcome them to our campus by sacrificing your parking spots in the Hoover, Stevens and Wood-Mar lots during these three days? There are lots of parking spaces in the Pennington and Bauman lots, and the campus side of Meridian and Sheridan streets are also good options.

We also have a large group arriving for the weekend on Friday afternoon, so parking will be quite busy for the next few days. Please also pass this on to your summer student workers. Thank you in advance for helping us to graciously welcome our new students!

Wednesday, June 9th, 2010

The parking registration database is again up and running, and we would like to ensure your vehicle information is up to date.

Please login to MyGFU and click “Self-Serve” and “University Forms.” Then click the vehicle registration link to verify your vehicle(s) are listed and your staff and adjunct hangtag numbers are correct. If any deletions, corrections or additions need to be made, please e-mail those to nkincaid@georgefox.edu and we will edit your information. If your information is up to date, we’d like to know that as well.

If you have replaced one vehicle with another, please let us know which vehicle it replaces. Also, you are no longer limited to registering two vehicles, so you may now register additional ones. Also new is the option to purchase additional staff and adjunct hangtags for $5 each. Drop by the security office during office hours with $5 cash for each additional permit desired.

It would help our department immensely if you could do this before Aug. 1. Please call ext. 2090 if you have questions, and thank you in advance for your prompt attention to this.
