Flexible Spending Online Enrollment: Thank you for trying something new! We have improved the instructions for enrolling online and posted them on the benefits web page. Before you start, open the instructions posted here. Also, some have found that it’s easiest to enroll using Internet Explorer (Firefox can freeze at the end).
Emergency Travel Assistance: Because of our switch to Regence as our life and disability insurance carrier, employees who are eligible for life insurance (.75 FTE or above for at least one year) also receive free emergency travel assistance with Medex starting April 1. Review or print details from the life insurance section of this web page.
Remember, open enrollment election forms and any changes are due in HR on March 18. Contact Lisa Burton with questions at 503-554-2183.

Newberg-Dundee Police informed George Fox University last week that they have closed as unfounded the case of a reported on-campus sexual assault on April 13, 2010, and are considering criminal charges against the former George Fox student for filing a false police report.
The police statement and other resources are available at georgefox.edu/incident.
The university strives to provide a safe and supportive environment for all of our students and is committed to responding quickly and appropriately to any report of sexual assault or threatening behavior. We encourage students to review the sexual assault policy in the Student Handbook under Community Policies, which outlines reporting guidelines as well as available resources for victims of sexual assault.

Would you please take a few minutes to submit your February time sheet (support staff) or time-off report (administrators) to your supervisor right away? As always, please be sure it is complete (including your ID number), accurate and signed by both you and your supervisor before sending it to HR at Box 6108. (If your supervisor is not available to sign it, please send a copy to HR and keep the original until it has been signed.)
Click this link for staff time sheets and download this page for administrator time-off reports.
A tip to help you remember to do this each month: Set a recurring appointment on your Outlook or Google calendar for the first business day of each month with a brief notation: “Turn in time sheet.” That gives you one less thing to have to remember.
A word about the late campus opening of Feb. 24: If you were scheduled to work, record the hours that you would have worked had the campus opened as usual. This includes temporary employees and student employees. If you were not able to get to campus by 10 a.m. or at all, you should use vacation for the time you missed after 10 a.m.
If you were on vacation or took a sick day on Feb. 24, you should record the full day off as vacation or sick leave.
For more information about campus closure policy, visit the university’s website.
