As previously announced, the George Fox calendar software (calendar.georgefox.edu) will be down this week (July 29-Aug. 2) for an upgrade. Be watching for an announcement about accessing the new 25Live calendar.
The Bruin Den will be closed Aug. 3-18. It will reopen Monday, Aug. 19 with summer hours, 8 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
The Villa Café will be closed from July 27 until the fall semester begins. Thanks for the great summer, and we will see you in the fall!
There will be no core flexibility class next week (July 29 – Aug. 2) while the instructor is on vacation.

Note that the current calendar (calendar.georgefox.edu) and scheduling software will be unavailable the week of July 29. If you have events to schedule for that week, please submit a request to Event Services by Thursday, July 25.
This year we have a phenomenally large group of incoming students. They are very excited and already setting up unofficial BBQs and gatherings to build community. In order to house this class, we are allowing returning students who desire to live off campus to do so (even if they do not qualify under our current policy). Unfortunately, some of those who desire to live off campus are encountering challenges in finding a place to rent.
If you happen to have a location that you would like to rent to a GFU student (or students), please let us know and we will post it on BruinBoards and add it to our list of available off-campus housing.

As we prepare for the upcoming football season in the fall of 2014, Bon Appétit has purchased a mobile food trailer that we will use as a concession stand and to help host various events with Alumni Relations.
Come join us Wednesday at 10 a.m. in front of the Bruin Den to see a sample unit that has been built for Johns Hopkins University. Cookies and punch will be available.
Fall semester textbooks are now online and students have begun purchasing. Please help to warmly welcome our guests by giving up your parking places in the Stevens, Hoover and Wood-Mar parking lots. Parking is available in the Pennington lot, on the campus side of Meridian Street, Sherman and North streets, and the Bauman lot (limited due to construction).
Please also tell your summer work-study students to avoid parking in those lots on Friday.
