Don’t forget to come out and support our theatre students at this spring’s drama presentation of These Shining Lives, written by Melanie Marnich and directed by Rhett Luedtke.
Performances are in Wood-Mar Auditorium on April 9-12 and April 16-19. All performances begin at 7:30 p.m. with the exception of the two Sunday shows, scheduled as 2 p.m. matinees.
Synopsis: Marnich’s poetic tale of the women who worked for Radium Dial Company in Ottawa, Ill., in the 1920s and ’30s is deeply moving, wistful and beautifully tragic. Inspired by actual people and real events, These Shining Lives chronicles the lives of four women who refuse to allow a company more concerned with profit than safety to silence their voices. Join us as we remember our collective past, reflect on the present and dream of a better future.
Tickets are $6 for students, or free for students on April 9 and 16. Employees are entitled to one complimentary ticket. Additional tickets are $12 for adults, $8 for seniors 65 or older, and $6 for children under 12. All tickets can be ordered at theatre.georgefox.edu.

Want a chance to learn about and represent a different culture? How about a chance to win $200? Volunteer to host a table at the upcoming “Global Village,” sponsored by the College of Business, on Tuesday, April 14!
The first six groups to sign up will be given $25 for supplies. Put together the coolest table decorations and information, and the student body will vote for the winner. Global Village brings together people from various cultures and countries in order to celebrate diversity, multiculturalism and global citizenship. For attendees, it’s a trip “around the world” without even leaving the campus. It provides guests with unique opportunities to experience a variety of cultures and taste their delightful specialties.
The mission of the event is to foster cultural understanding, international awareness and curiosity by learning about countries many of us might not be familiar with. All students are welcome to volunteer and choose any country to represent, but there is a limited number of tables. The event will begin at 7 p.m. in EHS.
Please contact Faith Stoneman at fstoneman14@georgefox.edu for more information.

The George Fox nursing and education team that recently traveled to Kenya invites the university community to a presentation about the trip from 3 to 4 p.m. on Monday, April 13, in Hoover 105.
This will be a time of hearing specific patient stories (some in the form of case studies), showing some of our pictures, and discussing a few of the ways we improvised the nursing/medical care based on the supplies we had available. We hope to show you more specifically how God was working through each situation and to encourage you to join with us in praying for the people we had the privilege to meet.
