Join with athletic training students to support fire department’s toy drive

Wednesday, December 9th, 2015

The Athletic Training Student Club is teaming up with the Newberg Fire Department to assist with its annual toy drive. Each year, the Newberg Fire Department organizes a “Toy & Joy” program by collecting toys and cash donations. The money generated is used to purchase toys for local children in need.

The need for toys increases each year, yet the program funds do not always keep up with that increased demand. We invite you to help us give local children in need a wonderful Christmas!

Here are the details:

  • We will have a table set up prior to and during the men’s basketball game this Saturday, Dec. 12 (3 to 5:30 p.m.).
  • Donations can be dropped off in Dana Bates’ office in Wheeler.
  • Donations can be toys priced around $15 suitable for kids up to 15 years old; cash donations are also accepted.
  • The fire department will not accept any dangerous or weapon-like toys, nor will they accept electronics.

Thanks for supporting this cause!
