ARC hosts workshops on mid-term grades, finances

The Academic Resource Center has scheduled two workshops in the coming days:

On Friday, March 11, at 10:40 a.m. in Lemmons 8, Rick Muthiah (Dean of Learning Support Services) and Kathi Gatlin (Senior Enrollment Counselor) will present “Mid-term Grades and You: What You Can (and Should) Do With Your Mid-term Grades.”

Summary: Regardless of whether you’ve gotten mid-term grades for your courses, you should be thinking about your standing in each course. March 18 is the last date to withdraw from a class without getting an F. This session will discuss some ways for students to make use of mid-term grade information you can get from MyGFU or your professor.

Also, on Monday, March 14, at 6:30 p.m. in Lemmons 8, Ryan Halley (Associate Professor of Finance) will present “Financial Follies: Have You Wondered What it Would Be Like to Have More Freedom With Your Personal Finances?”

Summary: Have you ever been stressed about your financial situation? If so, come find out what you need to know about money. You’ll be surprised how simple this process can be. This workshop will provide information on a variety of personal finance topics, including budgeting, credit cards and student loans.

Faculty, please encourage your students to attend.
