Providence offers free youth heart screening session on July 22

Chances are your child’s heart is healthy, but a small percentage of young people have hidden heart defects that put their lives at risk, especially during physical exertion.

Providence’s Play Smart program offers free youth heart screenings for ages 12 to 18. Since 2012, the program has provided more than 40,000 free heart screenings by checking a simple, painless cardiac test, an electrocardiogram. Appointments are available at Providence St. Vincent Medical Center and are now available for scheduling.

Click here to schedule an appointment between 9:30 and 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 22.
