Join dialogue about understanding addiction tomorrow
Please join the social work department as we hear from several speakers from a variety of professional disciplines from the Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation. They will join us on campus from 6 to 7:30 p.m. tomorrow (Thursday) for a special event, “Diversity Dialogue: An Interdisciplinary Understanding of Addiction,” in Canyon Commons.
Hazelden is an inpatient drug rehab center in Newberg that specializes in an individualized approach to treatment, which includes detox, inpatient and outpatient rehab options, animal-assisted programming, post-treatment groups and recovery support, and family education.
We will be hearing from the medical director, the program manager, the nurse manager, the outreach manager, a licensed clinical social worker (and clinical director), and wellness specialist. It will take an multi-disciplinary look at understanding addiction and will be available on livestream here.
