Actors needed to audition for mini-documentary roles tonight
We are in need of actors for a mini-documentary that explores spiritual abuse in the church today and what churches are doing to prevent this form of abuse. We have collected stories from people about their experiences, but for safety purposes, we don’t wish to feature them in the film.
To portray them, we’re looking for voice actors who can capture the emotions these people felt. They will be filmed in a silhouette setting, so even if you do not match the target age for a certain role, it is still possible your voice could fit what we are looking for.
These are the roles:
- Man: (30s or 40s), must be able to portray anger, concern and determination in voice
- Woman: (mid 20s), must be able to portray isolation, depression and anxiety in voice
- Woman: (30s), must portray grief, anger and depression in voice
- Girl: (High school, young 20s), must portray confusion, guilt and shame in voice
We also have two non-speaking roles in which an actor will be seen in our film:
- Man: (late 20s or in 30s), must act curious and melancholy
- Woman: (20s), needs to act like a doll or puppet
Only one day of filming will be required for each part. The auditions will be held in Lemmons 4 from 6 to 8 p.m. tonight (Thursday). Each person will receive 15 minutes. Please contact Rebekah Springsteel at rspringsteel15@georgefox.edu if you are interested.
