The forecast report states we are in for some hot weather over the several days. Please take a few minutes to read this information on staying safe during extreme heat.
- Canyon Commons (south door entrance) and Klages Center (Student Union Building) have 24/7 card access for all students.
- The Red Cross has several best practices for keeping safe and well during the heat.
- Stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water.
- Wear loose-fitting, lightweight clothing. Avoid dark clothing.
- Slow down, stay in the shade and avoid extended time in the sun.
- If you must be in the sun, keep water with you.
- Find a cool place to stay during the heat of the day.

- Recognize the signs of heat exhaustion: leg cramps, flushed skin, dizziness, fainting, headache, excessive sweating without physical exertion
