Come help out at Community Garden this Saturday
Are you interested in gardening, and helping provide healthy, local food for Newberg families? Come out to the university’s Community Garden on Saturday, April 15, from 1 to 3 p.m. to learn more. The garden is north of campus by the soccer field, on the corner of Villa and Crestview.
We will be preparing the garden for the growing season. Even if you won’t be here all summer, you can come help get the space ready.
If you are around all summer and would like to join the garden for the season, we would love to have you! Individual/family plots are available, and we also garden a portion of the space together if you don’t know how to garden yet ($10/student, $15/staff, faculty, or community member).
Extra produce goes to local social service agencies to help feed families in need, after garden members get as much as they can use.
