Artist Brian Gillis speaks at Art Talk tonight

Tonight (Monday), Brian Gillis will speak at Art Talk about his practice as a contemporary artist. He examines sociocultural issues as the consequent evidence of particular historic moments by exposing their genesis, conditions and outcomes.

His work uses a variety of production strategies and conceptual approaches. These often draw from specific sites and related institutions, and range from the production of objects and editions of multiples to site-specific installations and actions. Gillis is currently associate professor of art at the University of Oregon.

Join us from 6 to 7 p.m. at the Chehalem Cultural Center (415 E. Sheridan St.). Contact Annie Lunt (alunt13@georgefox.edu) with any questions.
