Guest PT doctor speaks on Achilles tendinopathy tomorrow
The Department of Physical Therapy is excited to host Dr. Ruth Chimenti, a postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Science at the University of Iowa, tomorrow (Thursday) in Canyon Commons Room 101.
Dr. Chimenti will present a topic on theoretical implications for clinical care of chronic pain patients with Achilles tendinopathy. The title of her presentation is “Application of Neurobiological Pain Mechanisms to a Chronic Orthopaedic Injury.”
Everyone is encouraged to attend this free event, ask questions and welcome Dr. Chimenti to the university. Light refreshments will be served from 6 to 6:30 p.m., and the presentation will take place from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., followed by a Q&A/informal discussion time from 7:30 to 8 p.m.
