Work of Friends in Palestine discussed in LACI lecture Monday
Join us for the seventh Liberal Arts and Critical Issues presentation of the semester this Monday, Oct. 10, when “The Friends Work in Ramallah, West Bank/Palestine” will be discussed in Hoover 105. The same presentation will be made from 5 to 6 p.m. and from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m.
Guests Elizabeth Sherwood, administrative pastor at Newberg Friends Church; Shawn McConaughey, assistant superintendent for Northwest Yearly Meeting of Friends; and Lynn Clouser-Holt, lead pastor at North Valley Friends Church, will describe the current work being done by Friends in Ramallah and what their experience teaches us about Christian peacemaking at the boundaries of Islam and the West.
The theme for this semester’s LACI series is “Islam and the West.” For more information, contact Laurie Fair at lfair@georgefox.edu.
