Are you ready for a new computer?

Would you like the opportunity to trade in your older CAC computer on a new Apple?

If this sounds like you, stop by the Service Desk between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. beginning April 6.

We also have limited quantities of a special bundle that includes the Apple MacBook and iPod Touch. The total cost of this package is $1,100.00

The cost of the computer alone is $1050.00 through this trade-up opportunity.

The iPod Touch is not available for sale separately at this time.

Here is a list of the maximum current value of the CAC computers that can be applied toward the purchase of a MacBook, or the MacBook and iPod Touch bundle. These are maximum values that apply only if the computer is in good shape with only reasonable wear.

2007 MacBook $600
2007 HP 6710/6320 $600

2006 iBook $200
2006 HP 6125 $200

2005 iBook $100
2005 HP 6110 $100

The value of your current CAC computer can be applied toward the purchase of a new Apple model/bundle and you must pay the difference in cost in order to receive the new Apple MacBook. The new Apple MacBook being offered has the following specifications:
Shell: White Polycarbonate
Processor: Intel Core2 Duo 2.0GHz
RAM: 2GB
Hard Drive: 120GB
Optical Drive: SuperDrive
Graphics Processor: NVIDIA GeForce 9400M
2 year Apple Parts Agreement Warranty

To answer the obvious question: No, you cannot charge the difference to your student bill, you will need to pay with either cash, check or credit card. All payments for this will be handled in Student Financial Services starting on the afternoon of April 6. You must visit the Service Desk first in order to have the value of your computer assessed and for a bill to be created.
