Reminder of performances scheduled on campus this weekend

This is a final reminder of events presented by the Department of Performing Arts this weekend. All events take place in Bauman Auditorium.

On Friday, March 6, from 12:40 to 1:30 p.m., a Students in Recital is scheduled, followed by a Piano Master Class for current piano students in the Greenroom at 4 p.m. Then, at 7:30 p.m., pianists Kenneth Willson, Barbara Stewart, Dan Miller, Becca Couch, Bethany Taft, Joseph Forster, James Pick, Cameron DeWhitt, Allen Cassell, Andrew Payne, and Beth Sellers will present a “Multi-Piano Extravaganza.”

Finally, at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, March 7 (please note the time change), Emily Yarnold, soprano, and Ashley Salisbury, mezzo-soprano, will present their junior recital. Admission is free. Please join us in supporting our students and faculty.

In addition, there will be an off-campus opportunity to see one of our faculty, Dr. Kenn Willson (Performing Arts) perform with Kenneth Beare (tenor) and Maria Choban (piano). They will perform “Winterreise and Fantasy in f-minor” in their “Death by Schubert” performance. It will be held at the Southminster Presbyterian Chuch (at the corner of Denney and Hall in Beaverton) at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, March 7. Tickets are $10 for adults and $8 for seniors and students or $20 for a family. Children under 12 are free.
