Program discusses civil society and role of government Feb. 16
The Liberal Arts and Critical Issues Program will continue its exploration of issues around the future of the American Dream on Monday, Feb. 16. Speaker Shoshon Toma-Sweet will speak about his experience as a legislative assistant in Oregon and as a board member of the Oregon Center for Christian Values.
Also speaking will be Kathleen Gathercoal (Graduate Psychology), who will discuss the role of the church and advocacy on national issues.
The program, entitled “Constructing the Dream: Civil Society and the Role of Government,” runs from 4:40 to 5:30 p.m. and from 7 to 7:50 p.m. in Hoover 105. The university community is invited to attend.
