UG students participation requested – Forgiveness Letter regarding Obama incident
Dear student body,
A letter of forgiveness has been written to the students who hung the Obama cut-out back in September. We felt there was a need for reconciliation with this incident. The letter to the students reads as follows:
“Friends,
What happened in September hurt us and you. We do not want to push what happened aside, neither do we want to hold onto it and keep bringing it up. What we do want is for you to know that you are forgiven and still accepted as a part of our community. Know that you are loved by us and God”.
Now here is where you all come in. On Wednesday, December 10th at 8 pm-930 pm , this letter will be in the Bruins Den, handwritten, and ready for anyone who wants to express their agreement with this letter to come and sign it. I ask you to consider lending your voice to this expression by signing this letter.
