Chapel Credit Reminder

At this point in the semester you should have around 7 chapel credits. To check on the status of your chapel credits, please check your MyGFU (under students resources and then chapel- you will see a list of all events with a check next to every event attended. Your requirement and amount of credits still needed is at the bottom of this page).

There are 12 more events for credit this semester and as a reminder you may earn up to 5 of your total credits from chapel electives. We are always adding electives to our list. If you have podcast permission granted through a chapel waiver form, remember you can watch podcasts for credit.

Questions:
What’s the policy?
All undergraduate students who have less than 93 accumulative credits and are not 23 by the beginning of the 2014 spring semester must earn 15 chapel credits by Friday, April 25th. An overview of our deficiency policy and explanation of where to find the podcast and the chapel credit form found on your mygfu account.

I went to chapel but my credit isn’t showing up?
If you went to a chapel event but your credit isn’t showing up you may send us a summary of the chapel at spiritaullife@georgefox.edu with you ID number.

Why do I need to go to chapel, I’m a senior?
If you are a senior, in order for the system to recognize you as a senior you must have 93 accumulative credits. You must not actually have 93 credits prior to this semester. Good news! If you are a fourth year student we just need you to request that the registrar’s office sign an waiver form clarifying this is indeed your fourth year. Here is the waiver form.

If you have any questions, please e-mail our staff at:  spirituallife@georgefox.edu or stop by our office at the corner of Sheridan and Meridian.
