‘Christians and same-sex marriage’ presentation is Monday

All are invited to the third installment of the spring Liberal Arts and Critical Issues lecture series this Monday, Feb. 10, when Julia Stronks, the Edward B. Lindaman Chair of Political Science at Whitworth University, speaks from 7 to 8 p.m. in Hoover 105. The presentation ties into our theme “State of the World.”

Stronks will present “Christians and Same-Sex Marriage: Framing the Questions Before Shouting Out the Answers.” Fifteen states now legalize same-sex marriage. Should Christians be concerned about this or should they think about this as civil rights for the LGBTQ community? Stronks says your answer to this question depends only partly on how you view homosexuality.

The same session is presented from 4:40 to 5:40 p.m.; however, it is recommended that the general public attend the evening session, if possible.
