Musical Auditions

University Theatre Auditions:

-Winter Musical:

  • Parade by Jason Robert Brown and Alfred Uhry
  • Directed by Rhett Luedtke, Musical Direction by Maggie Daane and Conducted by James Pick
  • General Audition: Sat. Nov 2 (11 a.m.-2 p.m.)

** Special General Audition for students going to NATS:

  • Fri. Nov 1 (4:30 p.m.-5:30 p.m.)
  • Call Backs: Nov 4 (8:30 p.m.-11 p.m.) & Nov. 5 (7 p.m.-10 p.m.)

All auditions will take place in Wood-mar Auditorium.

How to Prepare:

  • Prepare a fully memorized and rehearsed 90 second dramatic monologue and 1 minute of a Broadway song of your choice for the general audition (bring sheet music to the audition).  Call backs will feature cold readings, dance auditions and vocal work.
  • Cast will consist of 9 women, and 9 men.

Sign-up Sheet:

  • Sign up for an audition time slot on the theatre call board in Lemmons Center (across from the Dean’s office).
