MacLeod presents ‘Follow the Money’ at research forum Feb. 15
The university community is invited to a Faculty Research Forum on Friday, Feb. 15, from 10:40 to 11:30 a.m. in Hoover 105.
Michael MacLeod, an associate professor of politics and international studies and director of international studies, will present “Follow the Money: How Global Investor Networks Influence Multinational Corporations and Why It Matters to You and Me.”
Synopsis
Should businesses be concerned about climate change, the proliferation of toxic chemicals in our environment or violations of human rights? In the past decade, a growing segment of the international investor community is saying “yes” – and is using its collective financial power to influence corporate behavior across the world in unprecedented ways. Michael will explore this phenomenon and discuss its economic and political significance.
