Secure, move or label your bikes to discourage theft
Security Services personnel have noticed many unlocked bicycles left unattended around campus since spring break, and unfortunately, a few have been stolen. Please secure your bicycle at all times with a good lock, and move it to the area where you are currently living on campus.
If you are going to be gone for the weekend or an extended period of time, please put your bike in your apartment. If your bike is currently stored at a bike rack, please mark it with your name by Thursday, May 22. After that date, all bikes not identified as belonging to somebody currently working or residing on campus for the summer will have the chains cut, and they will be stored in the Coffin basement to reduce the attraction to potential thieves.
Any bikes not claimed by the end of September will be donated to charitable causes. Thank you for your cooperation.
