Sophilo (Philosophy Club)
Hello, Fox students!
On Saturday, Sept. 15, Fox’s philosophy club, Sophilo, is kicking off by taking a break from the bustling start of a new semester with a trip to the much quieter, beautiful Champoeg State Park! If a time of getting away into nature for hiking, thinking, sharing, and just having a good time sounds like a welcome start to your year, come see what Sophilo is all about! We’ll also be brainstorming about what we’d like the club to look like this year, sharing plans and ideas, so if you’re interested in being a part of a group of people thoughtfully encountering life, join us!
We’ll be meeting in the Hoover parking lot at 9:30 a.m., where we’ll load up and head out to Champoeg. We’ll have lunch together, and be back by 4 p.m. So come on out!
To reserve a spot, or if you have any questions, contact Phil Smith at psmith@georgefox.edu. Also, if you are on a meal plan, let us know in your e-mail and INCLUDE YOUR ID NUMBER so that we can feed you. But don’t worry! If you’re not on a meal plan, we’ll still get you lunch, we promise.
