Theatre performance in Portland honors life work of alum
A Portland musical theatre series, Staged!, will honor the life work of George Fox alumna Tera Bloodgood Ewert (’97) by adding one performance to its successful run of the musical Les Miserables.
The performance, scheduled for 7 p.m. Monday, April 14, at the World Trade Center Theatre in Portland, will benefit the Gulu Rehabilitation Center for Children of War in Uganda, West Africa — an outreach sponsored by World Vision, a charity Tera worked with before her death two years ago this spring. She had devoted her life to helping women and children around the world.
The show also has ties to Newberg and George Fox, with several alums and community members involved in the theatre company. Tickets for the show range from $21 to $25 and can be purchased at brownpapertickets.com. For more information, visit stagedpdx.org.
