Author Bill Perkins visits campus; business expo also planned

In addition to its regular monthly morning meeting on Tuesday, April 24, the Christian Chamber of Commerce of the Northwest’s Newberg group will also host a special free-admission business expo at the same location later in the day.

The day starts with Christian speaker and author Bill Perkins speaking at the morning gathering, scheduled from 7:30 to 9 a.m. in the Villa Academic Complex. Then, from 5 to 7:30 p.m., a “Beat the Recession” business expo, a mixer event open to the public, will take place at the same location. Between 30 to 40 businesses and organizations are expected to participate as exhibitors.

Perkins has conducted business and leadership seminars across the country for companies such as Alaska Airlines and McDonald’s. He has appeared on nationally broadcast radio and television shows, including “The O’Reilly Factor.” He addresses men’s groups around the world and has conducted chapels for major league baseball teams.

Perkins served as a senior pastor for 24 years and is the founder and CEO of Million Mighty Men. He has authored or collaborated on 20 books, including The Jesus Experiment, Six Battles Every Man Must Win, 6 Rules Every Man Must Break, and the bestselling When Good Men Are Tempted.

Coffee, tea and pastries will be available at the morning meeting, which is free for Chamber members who R.S.V.P. at cccnw.net. A $5 donation is suggested from non-members and guests who R.S.V.P.
