Attorney speaks at next Christian chamber meeting Oct. 25 in VAC

What kinds of legal pitfalls do businesses and ministries face today?

An Oregon attorney with extensive experience will provide a brief overview at the Tuesday, Oct. 25, Newberg meeting of the Christian Chamber of Commerce of the Northwest. Guest speaker Tyler Smith will provide a focus on such issues as employee-employer relations, wage claims, independent contractors, business registrations, contract basics, administrative regulations and more.

The meeting is from 7:30 to 9 a.m. at the Villa Academic Complex.

Smith is managing attorney for Tyler Smith & Associates,Rural Business Attorneys. The Canby firm represents business clients on property matters, contracts, administrative law, estate and financial matters, regulatory compliance issues and more. Smith has substantive election law experience and frequently battles governments at all levels to keep them accountable to the people.

Coffee, tea and pastries will be available at the meeting, which is free for newly renewed Chamber members who R.S.V.P. at cccnw.net. A $5 donation is suggested from non-members and guests who R.S.V.P.
