Emergency Response Guides now in classrooms
Staff and faculty: Security Services spent the summer preparing Emergency Response Guides for each classroom on campus, and they have now all been installed. Please look for this bright yellow guide in your classroom and familiarize yourselves with the nearest exits, location of fire extinguishers and pull boxes, and what to do for various types of emergencies before you need the information!
There is also a floor plan on the last page of each guide indicating the location of nearest exits, pull stations, etc. Addresses for the building are on the front cover so you can give that to emergency personnel when you call 911. Please remember to also call security if you’ve called 911 from a cell phone so we can assist you with the emergency.
Please take a few moments to point out exit routes and other pertinent information to the students in your classroom at the beginning of each semester. Security personnel would be happy to answer any questions you might have at ext. 2090.
