Reserve tickets for ‘The Fire and The Rose’ now
Contemporaries. Critics. Christians. A medievalist and a modernist respectively, C.S. Lewis and T.S. Eliot might seem like unlikely collaborators. But in the 1950s, they both found themselves on the Archbishop’s council to revise the psalter for Anglican worship.
The Fire and the Rose: C.S. Lewis & T.S. Eliot in Conversation is a new play commissioned by The Undiscovered 2026 C.S. Lewis Conference being hosted on campus. It imagines a meeting between the two literary rivals, sweeping the audience away into discussions of the nature of God and time, hilarious anecdotes, and powerful revelations.
The Fire and the Rose runs approximately 60 minutes with no intermission, and will be performed in the amphitheater. In case of bad weather, the production will be moved into the chapel.
