Don’t miss the Donor-Funded Scholarship Workshop at the ARC!

Need more financial aid next year? The George Fox Donor-Funded Scholarship application opens on Nov. 1! More than 270 continuing students were awarded last year, with awards ranging from $500 to $25,000!

Essays can make all the difference in whether you’re selected as a recipient. The Academic Resource Center (ARC) offers scholarship essay writing assistance, and they are hosting Donor-Funded Scholarship Workshops Nov. 3-6! You can book a 25-minute time slot for one-on-one help with your essays during the hours below:

  • Nov. 3: 4-6 p.m. and 7-9 p.m.
  • Nov. 4: 5-7 p.m.
  • Nov. 5: 4-8 p.m.
  • Nov. 6: 4-6 p.m.

The ARC staff can help you with brainstorming essay topics, crafting your response, proofreading and more. Last year’s participants received thousands of dollars in scholarship awards, and more than 60% of participants who did not receive a scholarship the year before received one for the first time after attending the workshop!

To sign up, use TracCloud. Select “Scholarship Essay,” and the workshop time slots will appear under “Availability.” Only 24 spots are available, so sign up now to reserve a seat!

Can’t make it, or need extra help? You can schedule an ARC appointment at a time that works for you. Contact your financial aid counselor with questions about scholarships, while questions about essay assistance can be directed to ARC staff.
