Complete your 2025-26 financial aid to-do list
Spring break is next week, and the time off will be an excellent opportunity to jump ahead on your financial aid for the 2025-26 academic year! Take care of all your pesky to-do’s now so you don’t have to worry about them this summer.
Complete the following tasks by May 1 to get an accurate picture of your expected balance for the fall 2025 term and make plans this summer for payment (due on Aug. 15):
- File your 2025-26 FAFSA or ORSAA as soon as possible if you want to access federal and/or state financial aid.
- Did you use loans this year? Are you planning to use them next year? You can accept or decline your federal Stafford loans today in MyGeorgeFox (If you change your mind, we can always adjust them later). Here are some instructions on how to do that.
- Considering a Parent PLUS Loan or a private loan? Compare the two options here. Loan applications open May 1!
- Has your family’s financial situation changed since 2023? If you’ve had a change of circumstance, or if you had a Professional Judgment this year for special circumstances that will continue next year, request a PJ.
