Graduate students may park in any commuter lot or street (see the campus parking map; these areas have a gold border on the map), the parking lot on the east side of Villa Road across from East Sherman Street (the university now owns this lot), and public streets for the first two weeks of the semester.

Residential students (regardless of their parking permit color) may park in any residential lot, Lot I (North Street Lot), the parking lot on the east side of Villa Road across from East Sherman Street (the university now owns this lot), and public streets (excluding Villa Road and East Fulton Street) for the first two weeks of the semester.

Commuter students may park in any commuter lot or street (see the campus parking map; these areas have a gold border on the map), the parking lot on the east side of Villa Road across from East Sherman Street (the university now owns this lot), and public streets for the first two weeks of the semester.

Looking for a place to connect, grow in your faith, and build community this fall? Life Groups are back!

Life Groups are small groups of undergraduate students who meet weekly for five weeks for prayer, Bible study, and fellowship. Each meeting is one hour, and participating students are eligible to receive spiritual life credit.

The Wood-Mar parking lot will be closed all day today (Monday). A crane will be positioned in the lot to lift material onto the roof.

For safety purposes, the third floor of Wood-Mar will be closed. Please use the south entrance of Wood-Mar/EHS to both exit and enter the building.

Join us for our summer community musical, Into the Woods! Take a magical journey into the forest with all of your favorite storybook characters, including Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Jack the Giant Slayer, and many more.

As the shadows deepen and “happily ever after” turns out not to be the end of the story, the adventurers must learn the power of love, forgiveness, community and hope. Into the Woods features unparalleled music, hilarious mix-ups, thought-provoking lyrics, and a redemptive look at what it means to grow up.

Performances run from Aug. 26 to Sept. 6, and shows begin at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are on sale now. University employees receive free comp tickets for themselves and their family members by entering their employee email at checkout. George Fox students receive one free ticket for any of the performances by entering their George Fox email at checkout.

All performances will be held in the amphitheater. (Please note: The Saturday, Aug. 29, performance, originally scheduled in Wood-Mar Auditorium, has been canceled).

If a performance is sold out online, additional tickets will be sold at the door for outdoor amphitheater performances only. Pre-purchasing a ticket ensures you will have a seat for a show if it is moved indoors.

The Portland Center parking lot is closed this weekend (Saturday, Aug. 22, and Sunday, Aug. 23). Please park parallel along the street only this weekend so crews can clean and restripe the lot.

• Sunday, Aug 23: All-day lot striping and paint curing

The business development office has received a free enrollment in the Leadership Tigard Program. This is a 12-month professional development opportunity for an individual interested in learning about business engagement in the greater Tigard-Tualatin area.

Participation would require approval from a supervisor to participate in a one-time-a-month (full day) experience with other up-and-coming leaders from Tigard- and Tualatin-area businesses.

The university community is invited to a memorial celebration service for Flora Allen, who served for several years as a professor of home economics and as chair of the Department of Family and Consumer Science, this Saturday, Aug. 22, at 1 p.m. in Canyon Commons.

Flora passed away June 30 in Newberg. She worked at George Fox from 1969 to 1999, and both her husband Rich and son Greg also worked at the university for several years.

You are invited and encouraged to be part of this gathering to honor Flora and connect with the Allen family.

George Fox Digital has launched two fully online, self-paced courses designed to help anyone build practical skills and fluency in AI while learning to navigate the AI landscape with faith-anchored wisdom and discernment.

Both courses are free, open to the public, and taught by George Fox faculty and executive leaders. Students who successfully complete a course will earn a Certificate of Completion from George Fox to display on their resume or LinkedIn profile. Choose the course that fits your experience level:
