Summer is here and we’re sure you have exciting places to go and things to do! We also know that many of you have jobs or internships (or both) planned for this summer, and we really want to know what those are. This information is helpful to us for many reasons, especially because we love to brag about the amazing things our students do outside of the classroom.
We’re even putting together a campaign that will highlight several students and their summer internship experiences, and we’d love to include you!
On top of that, we’ll be giving away a $25 Amazon gift card to one lucky respondent! Click on this link to complete our two-minute survey. Questions? Contact Grace Packer.
The George Fox Veterans United Association is hosting an end-of-the-year breakfast for veterans as well as students and faculty with veteran family members on Tuesday, April 24, from 7 to 8 a.m. in the FoxHole (located downstairs in the Bruin Den).
We would love to have you join us for a fun morning with lots of great food before we take on finals week. If you have any questions or think you will be coming, RSVP to scaraballo15@georgefox.edu.
Gently used tennis balls are available in Wheeler Fitness Center (limit six per person) – perfect for practice or to make your dog(s) very happy. Bring your own bag.
Questions? Contact Patty Findley.
If you attended The Georgies last week or watched it online, please take this survey to help us improve the event for next year! The survey takes less than five minutes, and your responses are necessary to help us better the event.
We appreciate your time!

Don’t forget today’s (Thursday’s) all-employee meeting from 3 to 4:30 p.m. in Canyon Commons. The meeting has been moved up to accommodate the retirement celebration event for Clyde Thomas at 4:30 p.m.
A live stream of the meeting will take place in PDS 160 at the Portland Center.
See you there!
You are invited to stay after the all-employee meeting today (Thursday) to honor Clyde Thomas, director of Plant Services. After 40 years of service to George Fox, Clyde will be retiring in June, but we didn’t want him to leave without giving people a chance to celebrate his accomplishments. We will have a retirement party today for him at 4:30 p.m. in Canyon Commons.
Don’t miss this special time as we say “thank you” to Clyde.
Join students in the Master of Social Work program community practice track today (Thursday) at noon for a showing of the 15-minute mini-documentary “One Person Can Make a Difference†in room 155 on the Portland campus.

This month we will gather one more time for rich discussions, delicious food, and worship featuring Imago Dei. Elective chapel credit is available.
Thank you all for engaging in community with us this year and showing your support for all our multicultural clubs. Together, we can bring the culture and learn the culture!

The clock is ticking to pick up your lost items at the security office! All items not claimed by their owners by Monday, April 30 will be donated to charitable causes that day, so be sure to stop by before you leave school next week. We are sure that you are going to need your notebooks, textbooks and water bottles for finals next week, so come on by!
Staff & Faculty: Please turn in all “found” items to the security office soon so students can have a fair chance at retrieving their lost items before leaving school next week. Thank you!
Questions? Contact Nadine Kincaid.
Please plan now for the institution-wide stationery order taken at the end of August. The collective order helps keep costs low – the higher the volume, the lower the cost. Consequently, it is most economical to overestimate needs and store a small surplus.
I will be accepting orders from now through Thursday, Aug. 23, when orders are due.
For order instructions, go to the marketing communications website. Continue to purchase all non-departmental stationery (including “second-sheet letterheadâ€) through the university’s print services office.
Please contact me if you have any questions.
Thank you,
– Danette Newkirk (dnewkirk@georgefox.edu)
