All invited to special art discussion with Cameron Anderson tonight

Monday, March 19th, 2018

Join professors Mark Terry and Joseph Clair tonight (Tuesday) as they host a panel discussion with Cameron Anderson, executive director of Christians in the Visual Arts and a visiting Murdock senior scholar, at 7 p.m. in Lemmons 8.

Anderson will discuss his recently published book, The Faithful Artist: A Vision for Evangelicalism and the Arts. A limited number of autographed editions will be available to attendees at no charge. The panel will encourage audience discussion about both the blessings and challenges facing today’s faithful makers and performers – with one of the influential voices in the realm of contemporary Christian creators.

While this forum will be of special interest to artists, “culture care” is one of the greatest concerns facing the church today, and all are invited to attend. Join us!

Housing application fee is due this Friday

Monday, March 19th, 2018

Housing applications for the 2018-19 academic year are due by this Thursday, March 22. Make sure to complete the following by the deadline!

  • Login to the Housing and Meal Plan Intent application and fill it out by March 22.
  • Have you paid your returning student application fee? This one-time application fee must be paid by March 23 in order to go through the entire application. To check whether or not your fee has been paid, click on “Your Profile and Details” on the home page of your application.
  • Think about who you want to be living with. If you are choosing to go through housing selection as a group, you can create your roommate group in the application. Remember, your roommates must have started their application and paid their application fee in order to be searchable in the form.
  • Think about where you want to live. The size of your group will determine what housing options are available. It would be wise to be thinking through multiple locations and have a plan in case you do not get your top choice.

Additional details regarding housing selection are posted on the Housing and Residence Life website.

Questions? Contact housing@georgefox.edu or stop by the student life office.
