Senior’s play about peacemaking in Northern Ireland performed Saturday

Thursday, November 20th, 2014

Come support our theatre program this Saturday, Nov. 22, with a staged reading of A Stone’s Throw, a new play written by senior theatre major Olivia Anderson. Last summer, Olivia was fortunate enough to receive a Richter Grant to do research and write a play about Quaker peacemaking. She traveled to England to interview John and Diana Lampen and interviewed Margaret O’Donnell in Derry, Northern Ireland. Olivia heard countless stories about the Peace and Reconciliation Group and has spent the last six months crafting a play around their experiences.
