New praxis group registration applications due March 5

Students are invited to apply to be part of the Share Praxis experience. This is a two year program that explores life, the Christian journey and ministy in the context of a small and intimate community (four sequential semesters, 16 credit hours).

Applications must be in by Wednesday, March 5.  Interviews will be held March 6.  The size of the group is limited.

Spring Fest ’08 is a time to enjoy the food, conversation and fun of the Religious Studies Department.

Please join us in the Religious Studies office on the second floor of Hoover Wednesday, March 12 between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. as we color eggs, give away books, and share conversations between students and faculty.

Work on track facility continues

Have you wandered around the track and wondered what was going on with the scaffolding on one end of the infield and the building construction on the other end? Here is your answer: Fred Smith (Plant Services) is leading the effort to get the height of the hammer and discus throw rings legal by welding 6-foot extensions onto the existing structure. Meanwhile, the old pole vault shed is being moved to the north end of the track to benefit the storage needs of the track team.

University Store will close early Thursday for inauguration

The University Store will close early (3:30 p.m.) on Thursday, March 6, so that all store employees can attend the George Fox presidential inauguration ceremony and dinner that follows.
