Farewell reception for Clella Jaffe scheduled April 23

You are invited to join us as we say farewell to longtime faculty member Clella Jaffe at a reception from 3:30 to 5 p.m. Wednesday, April 23, in the Stevens Center lobby (Duke Atrium). Refreshments will be served.

Clella has worked at the university for 19 years. During that span, she’s served as a professor of communication arts; as chair of the Department of Communication Arts (2004-present); as director of forensics (eight years); and as a leader or co-leader of 10 Juniors Abroad trips. She also did a six-week May Term teaching exchange in Wuhan, China.

Clella also served on the William Penn Honors Committee, as a faculty rep, on Faculty Council and on the Personnel Committee. She’s also been involved in policy and procedures, student appeals, the advising task force, and numerous search committees.

She said her plans are to travel, garden and maintain friendships.
